That is, as part of the Millennial Generation, read more here. I’m afraid it isn’t much to look forward to, at least not right now.
The New Conservatives
Apparently there’s a new generation and new way of thinking for the right-wing. I don’t consider myself a right-winger anymore, but can identify with some of these ideas. At least it sounds more intelligent and thoughtful than what Rush Limbaugh throws out there every day.

A Little Late, But…
I just discovered that in 1926, the 4th of July was celebrated on July 5th because the 4th fell on a Sunday. I’ve complained about how even the teeny-tiny towns out here still had the parade on the 4th (not that I enjoy going to the parade) and no one really cared that it was on Sunday. It seems that our country used to be more respectful of the day. That makes me happy, and sad. Happy that people back then were more sensitive. Sad that times have changed so much.
Addicted to Government…
And that’s putting it mildly.
On Patriotism
This author doesn’t mince words when it comes to her belief about government and patriotism. While I think we all have a hard time rejecting the idea of patriotism, it is something to consider. The Nazi’s were being patriotic to support Hitler. Anything can–and will be–called patriotism. We should ascribe to a higher standard of right and wrong than that which is simply patriotic and non-patriotic.
