I decided to do a series of music videos from my top 5 favorite bands. This was pretty challenging as I had to narrow it down to 5, but I felt it was a good exercise for me. So my music habits lately have been pretty eclectic. You know how sometimes you hear a band and think, “eh, that’s not too bad” but then later you hear them and think, “wow, this is just beautiful.” That’s how I’m feeling with Sigur Rós, an Icelandic band. I’ve heard them a few times before, in fact they were suggested to me because they’re similar to Future of Forestry, in some ways. I’ve been like, “okay, they’re a pretty decent band,” but then I stumbled upon their music again this week and it resonated very deeply with me. The sound is…
I’m Back!
I had a fantastic weekend and am now getting back into the swing of things. So to report on my holiday… The drive to St. Louis went smoothly, despite heavy fog, high winds, and occasional torrential rain. It was a bit nerve-wracking, but overall I enjoyed the challenge. It was the longest I’ve ever driven myself, so I feel quite accomplished. Maybe a road trip across the country will be in order next : P The concert was AMAZING! I honestly had not listened to a lot of the Avett Brothers’ music prior to the concert. I really liked a…

A Holiday!
As you may have noticed, my posts have been quite sparse recently. This was mostly due to me studying for my chemistry midterm and trying to stay ahead with all my classes. I finished the midterm exam and essay today, so I’m making progress! And now I’m off to St. Louis in the morning to see The Avett Brothers in concert! After the concert I’ll be hanging out with friends in Chicago for the weekend. So…I’ve decided it will be a good long weekend holiday for me. I’ve persuaded myself to not plan on studying or working at all while I’m away….
