Sorry folks, I’ve been rather non-existent the last few days/weeks. I was asked to work overtime, so I was working all day almost every day. Obviously that didn’t leave much time to do fun things like blogging. 🙂 But now I’m back to normal hour, starting Monday, so I’m looking forward to having time for blogging, studying, teaching, and stuff like that. For Mises Students, Part 2

Israel brought up some good questions related to my first post, so I thought I’d address those here. The first thing, “aren’t there Youtube videos that summarize these required readings and can’t we get Greek history from movies like Troy?” I’m sure there are Youtube videos that explain some of what these works cover, but probably not systematically. The Mises Institute strongly encourages all students attending Mises U to be familiar with the Required Readings found here. Whether I go to Mises U or not (still hoping it will work out!) A Mises Weekend, Part 2

So we finally got a table at the Berghoff and looked at the menu. I wasn’t terribly hungry, so we decided to get one appetizer, one main dish, and maybe something on the side, and we’d just split it. You really should check out this article at Mises.org. Really. 🙂 It is by my good friend, Floy Lilley, on our experiences in Prof. Gordon’s logic class. I say “our” because she quotes me extensively (which is pretty cool). A nice benefit of having a website where you can spout off about everything you think of, lol. Destination: Mises University 2011

So I just got the official announcement from the Mises Institute that I’ve received a scholarship for Mises U. Suffice to say, I’m exceedingly thrilled. 🙂 I get these shivers up and down my spine just thinking about how awesome it is going to be. A Working Girl!

So today I’m officially entering the the realm of workers. No, it doesn’t make me chafe against the greed of the capitalist, I’m actually very thankful for capitalists who will employ me. 🙂 So the details that everyone is asking me about… I’ll working at Rockford ID Shop, they make hundreds of these little parts for airplanes. Apparently their parts are in nearly every plane, so that’s pretty cool. It is a family-owned business trying to keep afloat despite the pressure from super-big corporations.
