Helpful Info on Heartbleed Virus

For those of you who aren’t in the loop with this…the heartbleed virus was discovered earlier this week and is a vulnerability in the SSL (super secure login) code used by some websites to encrypt/protect data as it travels through the web.

I ran across this great resource for understanding the impact of this virus. Early on it was recommended to not change passwords until sites had confirmed they patched the code, so there’s been some confusion about how to respond to the whole situation. This is a guide to which websites were affected and what you should do it about it. If you heard about the virus but, like me, weren’t sure what it actually meant, I suggest looking through this guide for any websites you use.
