Monday Morning!

I took a brief hiatus over the weekend as I was trying to get over a rather nasty cold. I figured that either during or after Lakeshore I was bound to get sick, and sure enough, it happened. But thankfully I got it after Lakeshore, so I just spent the majority of last week catching up on Sherlock and Downton Abbey : ) Don’t worry, there will be posts to come about those. And Doctor Who. Considering I haven’t talked much yet about the Christmas special, it definitely deserves a post of its own!

Meanwhile, now that I’m feeling much improved, I’m back to real life. And today that involves…

Preparing for Classical Conversations tomorrow. I had good intentions of preparing days in advance, but being rather under the weather last week, that didn’t quite happen.

Reading Hamlet for my MOOC class. I also might finish watching the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Hamlet with Patrick Stewart and David Tennant. I started it last night and it was amazing.

Studying this week’s material for the Hamlet class. This MOOC is very well done, the first week was excellent and I’m really looking forward to the rest of it.

Catching up on an ancient history class I started in the fall. I have post-it notes about the Paleolithic Era, the Mesolithic Era, etc…all over my whiteboard, so I figure it is time to refresh my mind a bit and move on. I’m excited to get to the history that’s actually known and not just speculative.

Reading Man, Economy, and State. I’ve been slowly working my way through this for a while now.

I’ll leave with a song that my sister told me about yesterday, Switchfoot did it for one of the Chronicles of Narnia movies, and I’m really enjoying it.
