So I still have my topics in mind for some interesting posts, but don’t have time to write it all down. This week is pretty crazy because I’m trying to make time for driving practice, and preparing for the Chicago Mises Circle this weekend and of course, working. Thankfully I don’t have any other big projects like a webinar or history class. I hope to get back into some of that next week. And more reading. It just makes me sick to think of all the books I want to read and haven’t. Same with studying. I wish I could spend more time doing the awesome videos from Khan Academy and Mises Academy…but alas, it is not to be, at least not at this moment.
I’m going into Chicago Friday morning (if I’m good enough, I get to drive to the train station 🙂 ) for the Highschool Seminar. Then having lunch with Yuri Maltsev, one of the speakers. Really excited about that. And then depending on the weather my dad and I might go to Navy Pier. And then I want to walk around the parks after dark. I’ve only been to Millennium Park once, and that was a really quick tour. I hear that Buckingham Fountain is beautiful. Then a great time on Saturday at the Mises Circle. And home late Saturday.
Sometime I want to go to the Art Institute. And the Museum of Science and Industry. We were thinking of trying to do that on Friday, but there just won’t be time, and I’d rather have at least a full day to enjoy it.
But for this weekend…if you have any ideas for things I should go see, let me know. I’m still open for ideas about fun restaurants. Our tradition is to eat dinner at Ogilvie Transportation Center (i.e., a fast food place, although they do have good gyros…) but it would be nice to maybe find somewhere else. I’m thinking Chicago deep-dish pizza sounds good. And a Friday fish-fry. Lol…I’m getting a bit too excited about this whole trip. But having a job now adds a whole new dimension to any sort of trip or holiday, even if it is just a day or two.
All for now folks, I’ll try to do justice to some of the topics I have in mind…eventually 🙂
