“The health department these days, man, they’re out for blood.”
Someone commenting on the danger of attempting a project that was borderline on legal.
This person didn’t say, “the health department, man, they’re really saving lives.” Isn’t that just the way of things? It caught me off guard, to hear someone else say this. But when you think about government, isn’t this the pattern of government? A department or bureau is created to help the average citizens…and before you know it, this department is just causing homeowners to abandon perfectly legitimate projects (on their own property too!) because of red tape.
Don’t you just love the government?
